the outflank invitational pre-alpha tournament

In June, Old Glory Studios reached a major milestone for Victory's Grave: Outflank with the completion of our vertical slice. (A vertical slice represents a polished level of the video game, demonstrating what a "slice" of the game looks like.) To celebrate the achievement, we held the Outflank Invitational Pre-Alpha Tournament, an opportunity for teams in our community to get competitive and to put the game's build through its paces.

The tournament brought four teams into the crucible of our “Chapel Hill” battle map: WWP Squad, representing the Wounded Warrior Project; ThePlanks; Jumpship; and Infamous, veterans of the Arma circuit. Over five intense matches, these players tested the limits of our pre-alpha build, delivering moments of brilliance and raw competition.

The tournament was a great way to jumpstart vertical slice playtesting, and we feel that it demonstrates a new evolution on the tactical shooter, one that brings more strategy and demands more intelligence than any previous game.
